Horseradish around the world.
What do New York and Austria have in common? Without doubt, a love of horseradish. Because it’s not only in Styria that horseradish is farmed and enthusiastically eaten. Horseradish is also farmed commercially in the states of Missouri, Illinois, New York and New Jersey.
You might also come across it when holidaying in Alsace, France or in several regions of Germany, and horseradish is even farmed in South Africa. The wild variety of horseradish is found in eastern Russia and Ukraine. The speciality is also served in England – but generally in cooked form.
